The Paleoclimate Simulation Comparison Program (PMIP) is an international program that uses climate models to understand past climate change and predict future climate change. Its third phase (PMIP3) further strengthens the connection with the Fifth International Coupled Model Comparison Program (CMIP5). This data uses the paleoclimate model of PMIP3/CMIP5 plan to obtain the basic meteorological element data of temperature, precipitation and evaporation of MH, PI, LIA and MWP. The metadata file has 6 layers in total. MH-PI temperature data; MCA-LIA temperature data; MH-PI precipitation data; MCA-LIA precipitation data; MH-PI evaporation data; MCA-LIA evaporation data.

Using the paleoclimate model of PMIP3/CMIP5 plan, all model data are downloaded from the ESGF Alliance( https://esgf-node.llnl.gov/projects/esgf-llnl/ )Based on the modern observation data of the Qilian Mountain inner flow area, the global model is statistically downscale to reach the regional scale.
In order to eliminate the influence of model extreme value, the spline interpolation is used to obtain the basic meteorological element data of temperature, precipitation and evaporation of MH, PI, MWP and LIA.
