This dataset includes monthly statistical data from the online observation of sulfur dioxide at the Shangdianzi Atmospheric Background Station in Beijing, China in 2004 and 2005, which can represent the background status of sulfur dioxide in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region of China during the same period. The dataset has undergone strict quality control, and statistical variables include monthly average, median, standard deviation, number of samples, monthly maximum, and monthly minimum of sulfur dioxide
