Xifeng Soil and Water Conservation Scientific Experimental Station of the Water board of the Yellow River, established in October 1951, is a soil and water conservation scientific experimental unit of the Water board of the Yellow River located in the loess plateau gully area. In April 2000, the Yellow River Water and Soil Conservation Xifeng Governance Supervision Bureau was established, with two brands and one set of personnel under the leadership of the Yellow River Upper and Middle Reaches Management Bureau. It is a comprehensive public institution that integrates scientific research, supervision and monitoring, governance demonstration, and management services. Mainly responsible for the management of water and water resources in the 397 kilometers of the Ningxia section of the Yellow River, 180.5 kilometers of the Jinghe Ninggan section, and 27 kilometers of the boundary river in the Shaanxi Gansu section, as well as the supervision of soil and water conservation in Ningxia, Inner Mongolia (excluding the border areas of Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Inner Mongolia) and the Longdong section of Gansu Province, as well as the national key control area for soil and water loss in the sandy and coarse sand areas of the Yellow River and the national key control area for soil and water loss in the loess hills of Gansu, Qinghai, and Ningxia Dynamic monitoring of soil erosion in 21 counties in the national key prevention area of soil erosion at the northern foot of Yinshan Mountain.
